A modern take on the traditional brownstone—updated systems, custom millwork, and a tricky water table issue resolved onsite. This South End renovation - designed by Catherine Truman Architects - blends luxury living with historic charm. The team preserved original architectural elements while introducing modern kitchens and baths with sleek, simple cabinetry. The result is an “old but new” aesthetic, thoughtfully crafted for both the architect and the client to reflect a modern lifestyle in a historic shell.
